All Star cheerleading would be nothing without the great cheerleaders who have been attracted to the sport and the all star cheerleading gyms that have sprung up everywhere in America to accommodate the sport. It was formalized early in the 21st century in the sense that rules and regulations were drawn up, standards and requirements, such as divisions and levels, put in place, as the US All Star Federation (USASF) for cheer and dance teams was founded.
